New Segment on the Blog: ‘This Day in the Continental Congress’

I have decided to launch a new segment on the blog featuring the journals of the continental congress.  Every day that the journals contain a list of minutes, resolutions, and orders, I will publish them–in full–on the blog.  Sometimes these are very short, sometimes long, sometimes boring, but mostly they are fascinating.

These journals represent the best possible look at the development of the country, behind the scenes–away from the battlefields–at a time when the resolve of the country was high and the fate of a new nation lingered on uncertainty (and at times, annihilation).  Please consider following the blog by either entering your email or clicking ‘Follow’ on the left-hand side of the site so you can get updates and links to these posts as they appear.  Chances are you will not be disappointed!
